Intelligent Door Controller (IDC)
At ground level, JANUS systems revolve around the Intelligent Door Controller (IDC) which controls and monitors two readers/doors.
An IDC will install into TCP/IP and RS485 communication schemes and even if isolated from the system will continue to make important security decisions locally at the door.
An IDC Can Manage and Support:
- TCP/IP or Multi-drop RS485 connectivity available
- 2 x readers with optional PIN - 1 or 2 door configuration
- Additional 6 x alarm inputs and 4 x relay outputs
- Tamper to the enclosure panel
- 12,000 x (65,000 with extended memory) users at controller
- AES encryption on eSeries (TCP/IP boards)
- Real-time processing at door
- 2A power supply with battery back-up
- Remote power input if more than 2 Amps is required
- Local LED and sounder outputs
- Memory buffer whilst off-line (4,000 events)
- Any modern reader technology including biometric
- Panel options for single and multiple boards
